FIRST UTAH Robotics Symposia
- FRC (grades 9-12) Saturday, September 26
- FTC (grades7-12) Saturday, September 12
- FLL (grades 6-9) Saturday, September 5
via ZOOM from 9-11:30am
FIRST Robotics Competition submit by September 18!
Presenters will speak and share their screens over a 20- minute Zoom meeting. They may share PowerPoint presentations, websites or other visuals during their presentations. Q & A sessions will be open after each session for presenters and others to answer questions
Call for proposals in the following subject areas of interest:
- First Steps – how to start a FIRST team (FLL jr, FLL, FTC, FRC)
- 2021 Game formats and program updates
- Important things to know during the season (time management, programming, division of roles, robot design, etc.)
- Important things to know pre-season (outreach, recruiting, getting sponsors, etc.)
- What to know before going to a contest (judging, differences FLL judging categories, submitting for awards in FTC and FRC, inspection, etc)
- Anything you wished you had known before you started
- Increasing diversity and access in FIRST
- Robotics engagement, procedures and resources during the pandemic
Teams and educators are invited to submit their presentation outlines. This event is open to all FIRST teams and mentors in UT and to all those seeking to learn more about our programs. If you would like to submit, fill out this form by Aug 12.
